Amid application, gravity assists in producing “droplets” that traverse my substrate; soon after, pigment dries like dust. The resultant images reference exteriority and the body in allusions to translucent skins. Conversely, interiority is underscored through an association to x-rays conjuring sentimental attempts to “see inside oneself.” As fluid pigment spawns forms linked to representation, its spread over the surface dually serves as signifier for this infectious time in which we’re living – in the thick of it, a desire prevails to have it all shut tight. Yet these microorganisms are not impervious, forming fields that appear to be oozing, leaking. Similarly, our communities are in states of flux. Thus, more vital than these bifold enumerations is our individual and collective response to them.
At this locus where we occupy The Space Between – what will be our reflexive antidote?
